Art !
“Art” is a bloodhound, of course, who loves doggy daycare!
He loves small, medium and large dogs but his best buddy is “Sherman”
a Portuguese Water Dog.
Art has a zest for life and his rich chocolate eyes just melt your heart with one glance. Art wakes up happy and goes to sleep happy, he just makes you want to smile when your around him.
The Bloodhound is one of the oldest original scent hounds, "The actual term "Bloodhound" refers not to what the Bloodhound trails but instead refers to its status as the "blooded hound," meaning aristocratic, since such great lengths were taken early on to keep the strain clean."
Cooper ! Therapy Dog
Cooper is a regular weekly guest at The Grove. Cooper is truly a unique dog, he is sensitive, playful, intelligent and kind.
We are very proud of Cooper’s recent acceptance to the Providence St. Peter’s Animal Assisted Activities and Therapy program! Now lots of children and adults will get to experience The Cooper Man !!!
Cooper is now our fourth daycare dog who has passed the program along with Isis and Brody.
Cooper enjoys spending time with Emma, he loves canned pumpkin but most of all he loves a good snuggle.

Osa ! The Yellow Lab

Here comes Osa ! Osa is a full throttle rocket from the get go ! Osa runs as clean as a greyhound and corners perhaps better than one too ! She is all Yellow Labrador though and loves to go off hunting with her family and chasing the ball in our open fields.
Osa has been raised on a all raw diet which her parents get directly from Columbia River Feed. Osa is bright eyed and healthy!
Osa has the most interesting bark, it is like a song almost. Her bark and her ability to streak across the field after a ball are just two of her unique charms.
Osa gets along with every dog I have ever seen her meet and she is in the same happy mood every time I have seen her! All the other dogs tire well before Osa is even out of breath !
Osa is a hunting line Lab and as you can see has tons of energy, fortunatley her family has taken that energy and kept it productive and provide her with lots of activities to keep her busy both mentally and physically.

Noah! The Labrador Retriever
Noah is a Labrador Retriever who is a regular daycamper here at the Grove. Noah has been coming to daycamp for some time now and keeps us on schedule, in fact we would all have to admit that Noah is "The Time Keeper".
Many of us have pets who become restless an hour or so before dinner time or seem to know it is time for Mom or Dad to get home but trust me when I say that Noah is "The Time Keeper"!
Noah is the most regular dog I know, he demands at least 3 walks a day; morning walk should be on the trails followed by another field walk exactly 2 hours later and come 3:30 pm to the field again for his afternoon stick time and potty break.
Noah also has the location of each cookie jar memorized and knows which pocket I keep treats in!
Dallas! The Yellow Labrador
Dallas is a purebred Yellow Labrador who has been coming to daycare since he was a puppy. We have had the joy of watching him grow up into a big boy with a zest for life ! Dallas is full of tail wags, barks and love. The Labrador is often labeled the most popular dog in the United States, according to the American Kennel Club they are the #1 registered breed. The Labrador is traditionally a hunting dog, they do require a good foundation of training and socialization to harness all that instinct and energy!
Dallas began daycare as a puppy with Bogey the bloodhound and they became great friends, Bogey moved to the East Coast with his parents and Dallas clearly missed him ! Since Bogey left, Dallas has been trying to get Kaya interested in him and is really enjoying spending time with Milo the Doxy!
Isis! The Rottweiler
Isis is a Rottweiler. The Rottweiler is an easily recognizable breed to most americans due to unfavorable media in the 1980's. In fact, the Rottweiler is an intelligent, gentle and beautiful dog. Isis, whose full name Isis vom Mortiz-Bergberg, is an incredible ambassador for her breed and for dogs in general. A few accomplishments from her resume include: * CGC (Canine Good Citizen) award * Isis and owner/handler are Charter Members of DOG (Dog Outreach Group) * Registered PetPartners for animal assisted activites with the Delta Society * In 2007 Isis and owner/handler successfully passed the required classroom work and assessment test and are members of the PAAA/T Program (Providence St. Peter’s Animal Assisted Activities and Therapy). Isis is the first Rottweiler in the program. Isis and her team partner Finley were the first “team” (two dogs and two handlers) in the program in over 10 years. Isis and Finley visit the hospital twice a month on the Adolescent Chemical Dependency Unit and on the First Floor of the hospital. They have also visited on the Medical Rehabilitation Unit. * Isis has her AKC “PT” title in herding sheep and her ASCA “started” title in ducks We are so lucky to be able to spend at least one day week with Isis, she is especially helpful when we have young puppies in daycare. Her calm and confident demeanor instantly attract puppies to her side. Isis has many friends but especially Orione and Emma.
Dylan! The Irish Terrier
Dylan is an Irish Terrier, which are fairly rare in the United States. Irish Terriers are often fondly refer'd to as "Little Red Devils" and trust me ...they are ! Dylan is mischievious and happy to test your limits at all times! He is occassionally in the mood to snuggle but most often he is pacing around looking for something to get into, chew or hide ! Irish Terriers are not a breed for everyone ! They require consistency, firm training and patience!.
